Disney

For a franchise that LarpLikeRae is not quite into or acquainted with, they have done their best to bring characters to life that are either requested by tattoo clients or characters they began to get personally attached to!

Growing up, LarpLikeRae was always nicknamed 'Tink' short for 'Tinkerbell'! From a costume that was originally worn in 2012 as a Halloween costume, Rae took it upon themselves to Cosplay as Tinker Bell yet again in 2024 as their own rendition.

Steampunk Tinkerbell

"While growing up, I was always nicknamed as 'Tink' or 'TinkerBell' due to the constant sass, the blonde hair, and of course being able to tinker around the house with anything I could get my hands on. In 2012 my mom had dressed me up as TinkerBell for Halloween and I remember loving that outfit so much. Throughout years later, I took it upon myself to make my own rendition of TinkerBell as a SteamPunk outfit. I had used Gauntlets and other accessories from Cosplays I already had to put this outfit together. The dress, however was made especially for Steampunk TinkerBell. I’ve always loved cosplaying as her just because I have been able to interact with kids as a well known Disney character and be able to put a smile on others faces!"

From a simple request to a very memorable tattoo session!

Alice

"Until 2024, I had never seen Alice in Wonderland, since it wasn't something I either thought I would like or my mother did not show me growing up. One of my clients in 2024 had requested for me to tattoo in cosplay as Alice, so I quickly threw together a cosplay of her within 1 night. I sadly didn't have a blue dress so I had bought a large blue t-shirt and combined it with a white polo underneath, bow and petti skirt. This cosplay was extremely fast to make and something that I am very proud of! It meant a lot to me that my client enjoyed it!"

From a character that LarpLikeRae relates extremely hard to, to a cosplay that was very fast to put together.

Amity Blight

"I love Amity and her character design so much! When I had first watched The Owl House, I wasn't sure if I had liked her since she was one of the snotty characters, but after seeing her character growth, I began to love her character more and more. In 2024, I was invited to be a guest at Phoenix Fan Fusion and one of the panels I was able to be on was an Owl House panel. So I had made this outfit solely for the panel but now has become something I hold dear to my heart! During the panel, I ended up pulling out finger nail polish and painted my own nails. Then I turned to Cloud (cosplaying as Hunter) and painted one of his hands. Lastly, I invited another Amity cosplayer on up to the stage to sit with me while I also painted their nails! After the panel they came up to me and told me how they were having a gut feeling not to get their nails done before the convention and were so happy they didn't! Plus they were cosplaying the purple haired Amity so it worked out amazingly!!"

"This cosplay was extremely easy to throw together and I am insanely happy with the way it turned out! Especially the wig, where I used tacky glue and eyeshadow to give it the design desired. I do plan on posting her more soon as well as adding her to a website theme and subscriptions for August of 2024!"

For someone that isn't much into Disney Movies, LarpLikeRae was challenged with making a simple costume for spirit week in high school.

Ariel

"Back in high school, I was crazy for spirit weeks and loved to have a challenge with new outfits and costumes (still do)! After winning homecoming tickets in high school by making a Rey cosplay from Star Wars, I wanted to cosplay again for another 'Disney Day' hosted for the school spirit week. At this time, I was more into the cosplay scene since the Rey cosplay and had bought more wigs for more characters and variety. For 'Disney Day' I had decided to do Ariel from The Little Mermaid since I had everything for her. For my backpack that day, I had brought a basket of fake seaweed to keep all my school supplies in. Lots of people mocked me in the cosplay for reasons I don't know since my Rey cosplay did so much better."

There are moments and chances where cosplayers make outfits and cosplays of characters they know nothing about!

Kim Possible

"Funny story... I have never seen Kim Possible and don't know what it is about! I've never watched it since it was never something I grew up with, so in 2021 I decided to throw together a simple Kim Possible cosplay since I already had everything! There's not much to say about this cosplay because it was something I don't know much about but I did have a blast doing this right before work!"
