The youngest member of the Todoroki Family and the amount of stained faces from body paint: Shoto Todoroki.
LarpLikeRae has done countless of versions with their Todoroki cosplay from makeup, outfits, alternate universes and just casual clothing! Read below to find out the different styles and choices behind the designs.
One of LarpLikeRae’s most expensive cosplays with materials and net worth:
Fantasy Todoroki
“Fantasy Todoroki was originally made for a friend to borrow in 2022 for a fantasy My Hero Academia renaissance group. I had spent around $400 just for the fabric of this Cosplay. I wanted to use a sequence mesh on top of the royal blue base, and accent it with gold, trim and more sequences. The inside of the entire Cosplay is lined with a gold sequence mesh and clasps to keep it together. Since this Cosplay was made for a friend to borrow, I had to alternate the sizing of it, so it is a tad bit bigger on me. Later on almost 2 years after the initial Cosplay, I had restyled a new Todoroki wig and curled it instead of having it flat like before. This would help keep the crown up on my head while moving and twirling on stage. The belts and attachments were used by other Cosplays and were made for other Cosplays so it was a very universal change and quick add-on. The leg armor was originally made for a fantasy Momo Yaoyorozu cosplay, and honestly fit better for fantasy Todoroki’s instead.”
“Honestly, I don’t want to change much on this Cosplay, other than making an another white undershirt, and possibly lining it with more gold trim. I liked the one that I made before hand since it had a very breathable material, but due to wearing it for another Cosplay it ended up staining pink, and I am unable to bleach it properly.”
“This fantasy Todoroki cosplay won Best Masters Performance at Isekai 2023 Salt Lake City Utah.”
A normal aspect into Cosplaying around the house to doing casual errands around town:
Casual Shoto Todoroki
“Like described on the Deku page, I am definitely one that enjoys to do casual Cosplays, and especially Cosplays alone. Due to living by myself for 3 years, I had gotten really comfortable with Cosplaying by myself and going out in public just to do photoshoots or casual day-to-day things In those outfits. Casual Todoroki was a very easy cosplay to do, not only just around my own house but in public. People who knew Todoroki would identify him by his hair and make up that when I did cosplay him in public, I could also pull it off as a style of choice if people didn’t know who he is. It was just a comfortable outfit rather than always cosplaying as Bakugou, so it was a different change of pace.“
When the trend you created begins to expand at a growing rate:
Princess Todoroki
“The amount of glitter I have discovered and gained from the princess Academia Trend (I created since 2020) has been unbearably much. Since I started with Princess Bakugou, my second princess Cosplay was Todoroki’s. I wanted to create something just like the princess Bakugou where it was his hero outfit with pink pastel colors, and add-ons that made him look so much more cursed. I added on the pink scarf which looks like a Troofla or Thneed, which is probably the most annoying part of the Cosplay. I didn’t want to add too much to this outfit because he is already plain and simple with his hero design that adding too much would already be A LOT due to the colors and glitter. I’ve re-made this cosplay twice now and honestly don’t see myself remaking it again, because the fandom is dying down slowly!”
A great way to create a new cosplay is combining two series into one!
Ouran High School Host Club Todoroki
“My first ever anime convention was in 2021, in Tampa Florida called Metrocon. Before I had gone to the convention, I had agreed to join several panels for that weekend. One of the panels was in Ouran High School Host Club alternate universe with My Hero Academia. There were several different characters from My Hero Academia thrown into the universe of OHSHC. It was a huge panel and success! Granted, it was also my first ever panel, so it was a tad bit nerve-racking being up on stage for the first time. Especially when we were starting to play truth or dare. Someone in the audience dared me to sing ‘Let it Go’ in front of 200 people. I didn’t know I could say ‘no‘ to a truth or dare on a panel, but I still sang it in front of everyone. This cosplay was not made by me whatsoever and was bought since everyone else in the panel had bought theirs. Regardless of me not making it, this experience was so amazing and has taught me so much about panels and group cosplays!”
