Uraraka

Uraraka

Ochako Uraraka, also known as Uravity, is a very bubbly and open character in the well known anime 'My Hero Academia'. Many fans adore her and choose to support her character by making merch, comics, fan art and cosplays of her design!

One of the most often times you see all of the classmates from UA Class 1A are in their school uniforms, resulting in most cosplayers to cosplay as the School Uniform versions of their favorite characters.

School Uniform Uraraka

"The main focus on my Uraraka cosplay, no matter what outfit I put her in, has to definitely be the wig. Her hair is a staple in the 'My Hero Academia' community like most of the animes characters to distinguish each character from another. So for her school uniform cosplay I tend to focus more on her hair and makeup! Very simple and clean for her character and cosplay unlike most characters from the anime."

A major factor in the cosplay community is knowing a character so well where you can design your own outfit for the character based on their personality.

Casual Uraraka

"My favorite thing to do for any character is to be able to bring them to life without relying on the cannon outfit of the character from the series. I love a good challenge like most know, so I enjoy being able to bring the character to life by breaking down their design and personality into something they would wear and go about day to day. For my casual Uraraka cosplay I look forward to adding things that she would pick out from her own closet. Uraraka is well known for being broke and coming from a household where she does not have luxuries. So her clothes were either hand-me-downs, gifted or even thrifted! I took that into account while basing out her casual outfit such as a shawl, pink ripped jeans and some pastel sneakers!"

Lolita Fashion is a subculture from Japan that is highly influenced by Victorian clothing, that is expressed as 'Doll-Like' with the style and complexity.

Lolita Uraraka

"In the spring months of 2024 I was gifted a beautiful 'Alice in Wonderland' Lolita dress from one of my coworkers clients. I had never really known what cosplay I wanted to do with this dress or even make up an outfit to go along with until the summer of 24' when I decided I wanted to put Ochako Uraraka into this cute dress for some photos as well as to tattoo in. The dress came with a cute headband bow that I paired with my black Lolita shoes and petticoat!"
